Faculty Development—(N.Fowler)

The Department continues to look for a new Faculty Development Coordinator, to replace Dr. Graham Swanson, who recently stepped down from this position.  If you or anyone you know is interested in this position, please contact Dr. Nancy Fowler (fowlern@mcmaster.ca)
 
The role is currently divided with Elaine Blau organizing faculty development sessions for CBRT and the rural stream physicians.  All sessions have been organized for this year with the theme being: Expansion.
 
The Carl Moore Lecture will take place on April 8, 2008.  
Speaker:  Dr. John Sellors (part‐time faculty member within the Department)
Topic: Using basic science and basic primary care to make a national and/or international difference.
 
The Spring Meeting will be held on May 9/10, 2008. Dr. Louise Nasmith has agreed to be the keynote speaker.  The focus for this two‐day meeting will be on interprofessional education, interprofessional care and relationships. Planning is still in the initial stages.  Stay tuned for more information.
