Dr. Dale Guenter

Dr. Dale Guenter is a Family Physician and co-director at McMaster Family Practice, a large academic Family Health Team. He is co-founder and member of the board of directors for Hamilton Shelter Health Network, an innovative model of health care for Hamilton’s precariously housed individuals. He is a collaborator with the Ateneo de Zamboanga University School of Medicine in Philippines.

Dr. Guenter’s clinical interests include HIV care, chronic pain, mental health and addictions. He teaches at the undergraduate and residency levels in these areas, as well as population health and clinical epidemiology. His research interests are concerned with health care delivery, determinants of health and the doctor-patient relationship in the area of primary care, HIV, chronic pain and mental health.
