Dr. Stephen Lloyd
Dr. Stephen Lloyd graduated from McMaster University with an MD in 1981. He completed a mixed-internship at McMaster University in June 1982. He completed his CCFP(EM) Certification in 1986, and his American Boards in Emergency Medicine, Parts I and II, in 1987 and 1988 respectively. He was awarded a Master's Degree in Design, Measurement and Evaluation from McMaster University in 1991. He has been a full-time member of the Department of Family Medicine, Division of Emergency Medicine at McMaster since September 1985.
Since his arrival at McMaster he has held various positions including; CCFP(EM) Residency Director, Academic Emergency Medicine Division Chief, Deputy Chief CMH Department of Emergency Medicine, Interim Chief CMH Department of Emergency Medicine, Research Director for the Division of Emergency Medicine, Chair of the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians Research Committee, Chair of the Ontario Ministry of Health's Emergency Health Services Research Advisory Committee, and currently is the Associate Chair- Administration for the Department of Family Medicine.
Dr. Lloyd has two adult children (Chris and Gretchen) and lives in Dundas, Ontario with his wife Anne, their two children (Katie and Liam), their cats (Louise and Katchya), dogs (Buddy and Rio), fish (Spots), and a wide variety of mammals, birds, insects, reptiles and amphibians from the woods surrounding their home.
